"Nooooooooooooooo!!! I may not be the main character but that doesn't mean that I want to become the final boss!!!!!"

(This is a review without spoilers, for books 1-4)First good things: action and humor abound, giving a classic reincarnation trope an unique and engaging spin. Nothing feels derivative or reused, fans of the genre will be thrilled and new comers will be sucked in! It's hard to describe, but the dialogue and tone of writing really present a vivid picture - I found myself picturing the characters faces as they spoke without prompting and I couldn't stop reading. World building is gradual, but good and the main character makes you root for him at every turn. Another thing that is so great about this story is that it has a bit of everything, lots of action, wit, humor with a bit of horror and drama stirred in and a dash of romance as the series progresses. This really keeps the series from becoming stale as it goes on - always keeping the reader excited for the main character.
The bad: there are some grammar mistakes and spelling errors throughout the series, even a couple of bad autocorrect word choices. While it doesn't effect the readability or even enjoyment, it is noticeable at times. Certain geographical locations aren't introduced as well as they could be and initially can be confusing. That being said none of this pulled me away from the story.
Summary: an excellent series so far that breathes new life into the genre, well worth the price even to a kindle unlimited user like me (accustomed to free books). Start from book one and you won't regret it!
Thank you Sakuya Yatogami and keep up the good work.

Dao of the Evil God Volume 1 edition by Sakuya Yatogami Children eBooks Reviews
I really liked this book can't wait to see where the next book takes the story I will definitely read the next book
This is easily my second favorite chinese type fantasy novel. If u are a fan of them this is a truly funny and awesome story to get lost in. If u have never read a wuxia or xianxia novel before, I sincerely implore u to start with this one. Admittedly the names meh, and the cover is butt ugly, but don't let that detract from a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The world setting and character development are all great. There is a few grammar mistakes but there is not enough of them to make it impossible to read.
Not a lot of action for a Wuxia novel. Different in that it is about someone of an Evil sect. Puppetry and some exploration to start this first book. I am purchasing the next novel.
The quality of the translation is awful, and the book itself is written poorly. It reads like like the result of a ninth grade storytelling assignment.
Each book is a bit short, which be a byproduct of having been translated.
Even though there's alot of idioms that are rough to understand if you don't know the culture Dakota makes an effort to explain them without breaking immersion.
These books, are fun, fast, energetic reads that are almost impossible to put down
I was kinda expecting more. I'm looking for good Wuxia books in English and was hoping this would be a good series, but I'm not going to continue.
Biggest complaint is the Main Character. He's constantly talking/thinking about his life is a story and that he isn't the main character, it got really annoying after a while.
